Head of HR
British Asian Trust
Salary: £70,000
Location: London / Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)
Hours: Full Time
The British Asian Trust was founded in 2007 by King Charles III, then The Prince of Wales, alongside a group of British Asian entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Today, the Trust is a growing international organisation working to tackle poverty, inequality and injustice across South Asia through innovative partnerships, entrepreneurial thinking and scalable solutions. With teams based in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and the UK, we are entering an exciting new phase of growth and impact.
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Human Resources to lead and shape our people strategy across a complex, multi-country organisation. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will ensure that our people, culture and organisational development priorities support our ambitions for growth, effectiveness and impact.
You will bring significant HR leadership experience, ideally gained across multiple countries. An understanding of the South Asian context is highly desirable, but not essential.
Equally comfortable operating at board level and resolving day-to-day people challenges, you will be an emotionally intelligent and pragmatic leader who can build trust, navigate cultural complexity and bring together diverse teams around a shared organisational culture and purpose. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, able to work at pace, balance competing priorities and adapt your approach to the varying needs of different teams, countries and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a track record of supporting organisations through growth and change, strengthening leadership capability, and creating inclusive, high-performing workplace cultures. If you are a collaborative and purpose-driven HR leader who thrives on balancing strategy with execution and wants to contribute to meaningful change across South Asia, we would love to hear from you.
